Sermon & Service
Tonight’s service, in my opinion, went well. I think God really spoke through everyone, at least one form of worship spoke to each individual. I feel that God really led me into tonight, since a couple weeks ago when I had asked to preach, and this entire week of planning and the idea of my sermon and the service. Though it was fresh and new, it took a while to get a grasp of the congregation, but that’s what William Booth was all about with The Salvation Army, being different. I feel the Lord really changed my life tonight, and I could tell He did when it came time to preach. Some said I looked nervous up there, but for some reason, I feel I have actually overcome my fear of public speaking… I was able to think, and able to say what was on my mind, and fit it smoothly into my sermon, without reading word for word off my notes (I may not have said everything I had wanted to, but at least I didn’t feel nervous or fear). I’d like to thank the Lord for so many compliments, and actually enjoying one of my best birthdays with everyone, and the joy of taking on tonight’s service and preaching. Thanks to everyone else, and let’s keep worship 24/7!!
