It was a great weekend so far… even though it’s only halfway through!  The Orlando trip was fun… Medieval Times and Animal Kingdom were awesome!  I hope everyone else had fun on the trip, and I look forward to more in the future, and all the events coming up also!!

P.S. – can’t figure out how to make the move!

Saturday Night!

Well, I had fun tonight… a lot!  I got to see one of my old friends that I knew all the way back from middle school, and went over to her and her family’s house to eat and hang out.  I really enjoyed it, made me remember back to the old high school days when we had almost all the time in the world to hang out and have fun.  But now, being off to college and having so much less free time, it’s tough to meet up and enjoy friendship like the good old times.

But, I look forward to hanging out more, since before high school ended I really lost touch with most of my friends (that’s another story).

Well, I need to get some sleep, tomorrow’s Palm Sunday and I’ll sure be busy all day, and won’t have time to sleep in or take an afternoon nap!  But I’ll have some more fun… before I have to get back to serious work and stress from school and work (for now I’m enjoying life!).

Christians??

I was listening to Total Axxess (a Christian radio show) tonight and they were talking about what people think of when they hear the word Christians… most said good things, but one said hypocrites and judgmental.  Then they talked about a book, where they did a study for three months with non-Christians and put them into churches, and they responded saying that it’s not God or God’s word they had a problem with, but the “messengers” who were rude, judgmental, and hypocrites.

I think this happens a lot in Christianity… it’s becoming a religion with all these man-made rules and practices.  It’s not all supposed to be one way to worship, each individual has a right to worship God in their own individual way.  This “religion” is looking like a religion and veering from the path of faith, worship, love, and Godliness… it’s turning into what the Pharisees were when Jesus was here… creating all these rules to the rules of God.

I think we need to become Christ-followers, and stop following a religion, and start following Christ, and stop getting in the way of His message and Word and start helping Him get to those who are sick… remember, He came to heal the sick, those who had never heard the news, and for the entire world, not just “His people.”  So instead of becoming a Pharisee, become one like Jesus, we need to accept everyone, and as individuals, and make it known that you have love and God, in your heart.  We need to be humble, we’re all imperfect and we need to love, because no human made in God’s image (and that’s everyone) can have a full life without love; and that love that God gives us.

I’m at that point where I’m tired, but awake… after a trip to the Ft. Lauderdale Corps yesterday and came back today.Great weekend though!!

Square Dude

Got more future gigs, experienced a corps I’ve never seen and awesome A/V equipment, and met new friends and saw older friends.  Hung out with some friends, and got to hang out with Captain Rivera and Xavier, which was fun!!

I can’t believe I have to get back to school tomorrow, after a nice long, Spring Break!!  Oh well, I have some other friends in town, who are on Spring Break this week, to meet up with… and already finished one of my projects, now just have to do the other by Tuesday. I better get some rest now, after checking on the other computer I’m setting up.
Good night!!

Almost Over

I still haven’t finished my projects that are due next week… sucks having projects during Spring Break.  First, I have to figure out who I’m going to interview, I wish it could be easy, but it has to be a hospitality business manager (that founded the business) and then due Tuesday: a montage (too many pictures), and the group presentation.I have a lot to do, and too little time left to do it, I shouldn’t have procrastinated… but I’m not that worried… yet.

Finally!

Well, after a week and a half of waiting, my Macbook is finally here.  It’s crazy because both the Apple order status predicted the wrong dates 3 times and then FedEx projected the wrong dates.  Apple pushed it back at first because the release of the new Macbooks, which I currently have now.I just think it’s crazy that the dates for shipping and arrival were never right… I am glad though that I now have my Macbook, so all the trouble is washed away.Wow!! That’s all I can say about the new Macbook Pro, I’m definately changing from a PC/Microsoft Love to a Mac/Apple Lover!! I look forward to the many years with it, and soon going to put it to the test with video, sound, and photo editing (the main reason I got it).Macbook Pro

What if His People Prayed

•March 3, 2008 • Leave a Comment

I love these lyrics spoken in this song:

“What If His People Prayed”

Casting Crowns

What if the armies of the Lord
Picked up and dusted off their swords
Vowed to set the captives free
And not let Satan have one more

What if the church for heaven’s sake
Finally stepped up to the plate
Took and stand upon God’s promise
And stormed hell’s rusty gates

What if His people prayed
And those who bear His name
Would humbly seek His face
And turn from their own way

And what would happen if we prayed
For those raised up to lead the way
Then maybe kids in school could pray
And unborn children see light of day

What if the life that we pursue
Came from a hunger for the truth
What if the family turned to Jesus
Stopped asking Oprah what to do

What if His people prayed
And those who bear His name
Would humbly seek His face
And turn from their own way

He said that they would hear
His promise has been made
He’s answered loud and clear, Yeah
If only we would pray

If My people called by My name
If they’ll humble themselves and pray
If My people called by My name
If they’ll humble themselves and pray

What if His people prayed
And those who bear His name
Would humbly seek His face, Yeah
And turn from their own way

He said that they would hear
His promise has been made
He’s answered loud and clear, Yeah
If only we would pray

I can’t believe I’m writing this now, out of all times of the day…But, anyway, today was not so interesting… which is probably the norm after a big event, and friends that could care less about hanging out with you… or just being plain immature.  At least I ran into one of my old friends today and invited me to hang out with him and a couple guys, so at least there’s some attention.
On another note; last night’s event went well though, and it was fun… since it’s something I love to do. Like they say, “if it’s something you love to do, you’ll never go a day working.” I find that to be true, from the experiences I’ve had working my job that I have.
I guess I should probably get some rest, and look forward to my new Macbook Pro I’ll recieve in a couple days, that should’ve been shipped out two days ago.
Oh yeah, it’s Spring Break! (that’s two things to look forward to now)
